The process involves injecting with controlled vacuum and
pressure a glass bonding UV curing resin into the crack
or stone chip in the windscreen. The clarity and strength
is restored to the glass. The photographs show examples
of the appearance before and after repair.
The majority of windscreens fitted to motor vehicles today
are manufactured from laminated glass. The construction
is a sandwich made up of two layers of glass with a filling
of plastic. The overall thickness of the windscreen is 6mm.
The cross section of a typical bullseye break is shown below.

If a damaged windscreen is not repaired it will most likely
crack further or the vehicle will not meet the latest WOF
or COF regulations. The repair will save you the cost of
a new windscreen and will guarantee a WOF.
